Bornholm. Today, a picturesque island in the Baltic Sea. In 2155, an expanding metropolis capable of competing with major world powers. Thanks to the Space Elevator, a technological marvel built by the Bornholm business consortium, The Conglomerate, few nations on the planet are more influential in both industrial matters and space exploration.
In Born Punk, the player takes on the role of three people (well, two people, depending on your stance on artificial life forms) living on the island: Eevi, a corporate combat hacker rejected as a bartender on her luck ; Mariposa, CEO of Bornholm's largest corporation; and a defective android who calls himself Grandmaster Flashdrive.
The three characters have one thing in common: they are all, one after another, possessed by strange entities of unknown origin and even less known intentions. They must work together, and sometimes against each other, to discover the nature of these beings, what they want, and why they seem to think their 'mission' is vitally important to the future of humanity.
